Frequently Asked Questions
PNG, JPG, JPEG, WEBP, GIF, and BMP. PNG with a transparent background works best β the signature blends perfectly over the PDF content. If you upload a JPG or a photo with a white background, enable "Remove white background" and the tool will convert it to transparent automatically.
The tool examines each pixel and makes pixels brighter than the threshold value fully transparent. Adjust the threshold slider: lower values remove more (good for light-gray backgrounds), higher values are more conservative (only pure white gets removed). Start with the default 200 and tweak as needed.
Sign on a clean white sheet of paper with a dark pen (black or dark blue). Photograph it from directly above with even lighting, or scan it at 300+ DPI. Then upload the image here and enable "Remove white background" and "Auto-crop whitespace" β you'll get a clean, transparent signature that looks native on the PDF.
Yes. After uploading your signature image, click on any page to stamp it. Each placement is independent β resize and reposition them individually. Common use cases: initials on every page, full signature on the last page, witness signature in a second location.
Never. The signature image is loaded into your browser, processed on an HTML canvas, and embedded directly into the PDF using pdf-lib. Neither the image nor the PDF is transmitted anywhere.
Draw Signature lets you draw with a mouse or finger directly in the browser. This tool is for when you already have a signature image (a scan, a photo, or a digital signature file) that you want to reuse across documents.
