Frequently Asked Questions

What are sticky notes in PDF?

Sticky notes are small, colored comment boxes that you can place anywhere on a PDF page. They're perfect for adding comments, reminders, review notes, or feedback without altering the original document content.

Are these real PDF annotations?

They are drawn as real colored rectangles with text overlaid on the PDF — visually indistinguishable from native sticky notes. They aren't interactive pop-up annotations that open when clicked (like Acrobat's native sticky notes), but they'll display correctly in every PDF reader and print identically.

Can I move a note after placing it?

Yes. Drag any note to reposition it. Click to select, then use the corner handles to resize. The red × button deletes it.

Will the text wrap automatically?

Yes. Long note text automatically wraps inside the note's width — both in the live preview and in the final PDF. Resize the note to control how many words fit per line.

What colors are available?

Six classic sticky note colors: yellow, pink, green, blue, orange, and purple. You can also pick any custom color using the color picker at the bottom of the Color section.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. Everything — preview rendering and note embedding — happens in your browser using pdf.js and pdf-lib. Your file never leaves your device.
