Frequently Asked Questions

Can I draw with a stylus or touch screen?

Yes. The tool uses modern Pointer Events, so it works with a mouse, trackpad, Wacom-style stylus, Apple Pencil, or your finger on a touchscreen. Pressure sensitivity isn't currently supported (all strokes are the same width).

What's the difference between Pen and Highlighter?

Pen draws with a solid, opaque line — ideal for signatures, arrows, and notes. Highlighter automatically uses ~40% transparency and a thicker stroke, and is designed for marking up text like a real highlighter marker.

How does the Eraser work?

The eraser deletes strokes whose path comes within a small radius of your cursor. It works stroke-by-stroke, not pixel-by-pixel — so drag over any unwanted stroke to remove it completely. You can Undo eraser actions too.

Can I undo/redo my strokes?

Yes — click Undo (or press Ctrl+Z / Cmd+Z) to remove the last stroke, and Redo (or Ctrl+Shift+Z) to bring it back. The history is per-session and cleared when you upload a new PDF.

Will my drawing stay sharp when zoomed in?

Yes. Strokes are embedded in the PDF as real vector paths (bezier curves), not images. They stay perfectly crisp at any zoom level and any print resolution.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. Everything — preview rendering, stroke capture, and PDF embedding — happens in your browser using pdf.js and pdf-lib. Your file never leaves your device.
