Frequently Asked Questions

Will the text I add be editable in other PDF apps?

Yes. The text is embedded as real, selectable text — not an image — using standard PDF fonts (Helvetica, Times, Courier). You can select, copy, and search it in any PDF reader.

Can I add text in Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, or other non-Latin scripts?

Not currently. The tool uses PDF's built-in fonts which only support Latin-1 characters (English, French, German, Spanish, etc.). Non-Latin scripts require embedding a custom font and are planned for a future update.

Can I add text to multiple pages?

Yes. Each text item is bound to the page where you created it. Use the arrow buttons to navigate between pages, then add text on each one. All items are applied when you download.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. Everything — rendering the preview and embedding the text — happens in your browser using pdf.js and pdf-lib. Your file never leaves your device.

Can I move text after placing it?

Yes. Just drag any text on the preview to reposition it. You can also fine-tune the position, font, size, and color in the sidebar.
